Статья представляет собой перевод избранных глав из книги Владимира Ильича Йохельсона «Коряки. Материальная культура и социальная организация». Настоящая глава затрагивает такую важную часть духовной культуры коряков, как шаманизм.
В. Йохельсон описывает такие виды шаманизма, как семейный и профессиональный, и приводит описание двух шаманских ритуалов, свидетелем которых он был. Далее он рассказывает о таком непременном атрибуте шамана, как бубен. В конце главы он приводит 5 шаманских текстов, которые ему рассказали две женщины.

The article presents the translation of the selected chapters from the book «The Koryak. Material culture and social organization» by W. Jochelson.
It deals with such an important aspect of the spiritual life of the Koryaks as shamanism. W. Jochelson describes such kinds of shamanism as family and professional ones and describes two shamanistic rituals he witnessed. Then he tells about such an essential attribute of a shaman as a drum. At the end of the chapter he provides 5 shamanistic texts that were presented him by two women.
