The article considers the cultural life of the Bystrinsky district in 1950–1970. The main attention is paid to the amateur artistic activity, amateur theatrical productions and the development of cinema in the district. Publications from the district newspaper «For the Collective-Farm Life» («New Life») are used as a source.
