Иеромонах Нестор (Анисимов) в салоне графини С. С. Игнатьевой «У огонька веры и патриотизма»

Статья посвящена пребыванию иеромонаха Нестора (Анисимова), будущего митрополита, в Петербурге в 1910 г. Его посещение столицы имело целью ознакомление влиятельных лиц в Петербурге, Москве и других крупных городах с тяжёлым положением коренных обитателей Камчатки. По благословению правящего архиерея архиепископа Евсевия (Рождественского) молодой иеромонах отправился в Петербург для создания благотворительного Братства во имя Всемилостивого Спаса, призванного собрать средства для просвещения и развития края. Большую роль в осуществлении его проекта сыграл его доклад в салоне графини С. С. Игнатьевой под названием «У огонька веры и патриотизма». В статье кратко освещена патриотическая деятельность графини, приводятся отзывы органов печати на это событие, сыгравшее немалую роль в распространении знаний о Камчатке и возбудившее стремление оказать коренным жителям помощь.

The report is dedicated to the stay of Hieromonk Nestor (Anisimov), the future metropolitan, in St. Petersburg in 1910. His visit to the capital was aimed at familiarizing influential people in St. Petersburg, Moscow and other large cities with the difficult situation of the indigenous inhabitants of Kamchatka. With the blessing of the ruling bishop, Archbishop Eusebius (Rozhdestvensky), the young hieromonk went to St. Petersburg to create a charitable Brotherhood in the name of the All-Merciful Savior, designed to raise funds for the enlightenment and development of the region. A major role in the implementation of his project was played by his report in the salon of Countess S. S. Ignatieva entitled «At the flame of faith and patriotism». The report briefly highlights the patriotic activity of the Countess, provides press reviews of this event that played a significant role in spreading knowledge about Kamchatka and aroused the desire to help the native population.
