Статья посвящена члену Союза художников России Владимиру Ивановичу Зорину (1944–2005), 80 лет которому исполнилось бы в этом году. После прохождения срочной службы на Тихоокеанском флоте В. И. Зорин работал на Камчатке художником-оформителем в Доме офицеров флота, Камчатском областном краеведческом музее, в редакциях газет «Камчатский комсомолец» и «Тихоокеанская вахта». Автор серии линогравюр «Камчатский альбом», «Паровозы», «Меморандум», более ста исторических моделей кораблей и 300 живописных работ.
