«NEW» ANCIENT SITES IN BECHEVINSKAYA BAY
Abstract. In the field season of 2019, the author of the article conducted archaeological explorations in the Bechevinskaya Bay. For the first time, a site in the Bechevinskaya bay was described and excavated by K. Ditmar in 1852. His information was used as the main one in archaeological literature for a long time. As a result of research, it was found that the settlement of Bechevinka I is completely ruined by modern anthropogenic activities. In this regard, the data of K. Ditmar retain their invaluable value. The collected artifacts contain finds of the Kronotsky stage of ancient Itelmen culture (I millennium AD) and ancient Ainu culture (mid II millennium BC).
